MCSA Doyle Womens Dinghy Championship Trophy

The MCSA Women’s Dinghy Championship started in 1956 and the winner was awarded the Al French Trophy which was originally donated by the Ohio Wesleyan Sailing Club. Records indicate that the Al French Trophy was lost in 1972.

Former Commodore Richard (Richie) Doyle and his wife Char donated a plaque in 1998 to provide a perpetual trophy for the MCSA Women’s Championship. His daughter Stephanie, MCSA Commodore in 1998, was instrumental in arranging the donation.
